Betting on tennis: The underdog factor

There are so many betting opportunities in betting today, and among the most popular sports of late, tennis stands out. Betting is quite difficult, as often the favourites can show fatigue during matches. And this option is not always to the bettor’s advantage, as it leads to a loss of money. History is replete with examples of inexperienced tennis players beating better-known opponents whom no one could doubt.

What is the underdog factor?

This strategy bears this name because of the outsider factor. Here the main role is played by an athlete who is up against a more experienced opponent. In such a case, the outsider is often under a great deal of pressure, and not everyone can handle it.

How to Win on the Outsiders

Quite simply, at the crucial moment a player simply gives up, and almost gives up the fight to win. There can be many reasons for this, and it’s a point worth considering:

  1. Moral depression. More often than not, this concerns a young tennis player who has just started his professional career.
  2. Stress. There is always a lot on your mind before meeting your opponent, especially if your opponent is taller. This is the cause of stress, which in turn restricts movement and leads to errors.
  3. Lack of experience. If the game is already at a high stage of the tournament, the lack of experience is a big problem. Young athletes often simply burn out at a certain point.
  4. Lack of faith in their own abilities. At certain, usually decisive moments of the game, some tennis players do not give their best, they simply do not believe in themselves.

Of course there is logic here, as in a game against a stronger opponent with a higher ranking, there is always the thought of defeat.

But you always have to be sober about your betting and analyse everything carefully, otherwise you could lose the pot.
